Four steps. Takes about fifteen seconds to set up a roll. After that, you shoot — Pellica does the rest.
Scan the DX code or pick a film
Point the camera at the canister. Pellica reads DX in under a second, or tap through the stock library of 320+ films.
Set the camera, lens, and date
One sheet. Your gear is saved after the first roll, so it’s one tap for every roll after that.
Tap once for each frame
Pellica logs the aperture you set, the shutter, GPS, time, and weather. Add a note if you want, or don’t.
Drop in your scans when they’re back
Pellica matches each scan to its frame automatically — so weeks later, you still know exactly how you shot it.
Small details we obsessed over
so you don't have to.
One tap logs a frame.
A big button, always reachable with your thumb. Pellica pre-fills aperture from the last frame, guesses shutter from your meter, stamps time and GPS instantly. You can always edit later — but most of the time you won’t need to.
Scans match themselves.
Drop a folder of lab scans onto a roll and Pellica matches each scan to its frame by EXIF, filename, or sequence order. If anything’s ambiguous, we ask. Otherwise we just do it.
Your rolls, searchable.
Filter by film stock, lens, location, aperture, anything. Find every portrait shot wide open on Portra in Paris in the last year in two taps. Export any roll as PDF contact sheet, CSV, or JPEG bundle.
Every camera. Every stock.
Every lab.
320+ film stocks. Every major 35mm, 120, and sheet format. Any camera you've ever heard of, and some you haven't.
Is Pellica actually free?
Yes. The core tracker is free forever — no ads, no trackers, no paywalled features we think everyone should have. Pellica Pro ($2.99/month or $19/year) unlocks unlimited rolls, cloud sync across devices, and PDF/CSV exports.
Do I need internet to log a frame?
No. Every feature works offline — GPS, time, film data, notes. Weather needs signal at some point to fetch the reading, but it will sync when you are back online and stamp the correct time retroactively.
Does Pellica phone home?
Everything stays on your device by default. Cloud sync is opt-in, end-to-end encrypted, and stores only your rolls — not the app telemetry. We do not sell data. We do not have data to sell.
Can I import rolls from another app?
Yes. CSV import from Lightroom, Frames, Film Logbook, and plain paper. There is a template in the app. Ping us if you need help — we will migrate any format by hand if your roll count is big.
Where can I get the app?
App Store and Google Play. Same app, same features, same release schedule. Every update lands on both stores the same day — no platform left behind.
Medium format? Sheet film?
Yes and yes. Pellica handles 120 (6×4.5 through 6×17), 4×5, and even 8×10. Frame counts auto-adjust per format. Sheet film logs as individual sheets grouped by date.
